At Cryonaut, our founders specialize in industrial engineering. After more than 2 decades in this branch, we felt ready for a new challenge. This is why we decided to tackle a new type of project: freeze drying technologies.

With years of research, we realized the massive potential of freeze drying, also called lyophilization and the postive impact it could have for the world. We also discovered the market was lacking reliable, home use options. It's at this moment we decided to create our own machine and with countless tests, we finally came up with our brand new freeze dryer: the Cryonaut Alpha!

What makes our product different? We designed it to be an industrial grade machine while accomodating clients at the public level. Our competitors have been sitting on the same old designs for years without ever innovating or resolving the known issues of their product. This encouraged us to innovate and provide a higher quality machine with more features.

We also decided to make our products open source, which means everyone has access to the machine's software. Being enthusiasts of open source communities ourselves, it was important for us to allow the freeze drying community to learn from our products in order to enrich the development of this technology.

In the future, we intend to manufacture a smaller version to meet the needs of customers that have limited space or need to travel with their freeze dryer.

We hope to aspire others to turn to more eco-friendly options regarding the diminution of food wastage such as freeze drying. It's only the begining!
